We provided comprehensive support to 73 women, 76% of them Venezuelan migrants, pregnant or breastfeeding women, in a situation of risk or heightened vulnerability, through processes of formative integration and psychosocial support, promoting a dignified and comprehensive development.
How did we do it?
We have 150 hours of training through workshops, focus groups and courses on violence and types of violence, immediate care routes, support networks, protective factors, breastfeeding, parenting styles and others.
Through 326 hours of integral accompaniment we had psychological counseling for crisis intervention, pedagogical accompaniment, legal and labor counseling.
What did we achieve?
- 24% of the women have a new job.
- 19% are in the process of formal education.
- 21% of the women entered into entrepreneurship accompaniment processes.
- 75% of the women increased their self-perception of the development of competencies and skills to make assertive decisions independently and autonomously at an emotional and economic level.
- We achieved a 90% increase in the number of breastfeeding women using contraceptive methods.
- We involved 7 Venezuelan migrant volunteers who accompanied these women for about 95 hours to share their fears and concerns.
