It is a space to recognize and acknowledge each other’s diversity, to meet in public and build bridges for peace. It is also an opportunity to fix our eyes on the culture of Chocó and see its potential.
How did we do it?
We went to four places, first to Turbo, Antioquia where the event was opened, then it had its second stop in Bahia Solano, the third was in Istmina and ended in Quibdó. More than 13 thousand people participated.
What did we achieve?
- 74 workshops were held with the presence of different audiences, preschool, elementary and high school students, impacting 2.400 people.
- As it was a cultural festival, 17 artistic events were included in Turbo, Bahía Solano, Istmina and Quibdó.
- Fifty-two conversations were generated with more than 2.700 attendees.
- Four meetings of reading clubs of the Selva de Letras program were held, integrating close to 15 different clubs.
- In the three meetings of teachers, more than 160 teachers generated valuable conversations about reading and its importance.
- Intervention actions in non-conventional spaces have been a determining factor in Flecho, since they allow us to get closer to other communities so that the festival can also be experienced in places that are difficult to access. With the itinerant library that travels with the collection of books from the series “Reading is my story” by river, sea or land, different strategies for the promotion of reading were carried out.
- The Cocorobé Bookstore, with a differential ethnic approach, was present in Bahía Solano, Istmina and Quibdó, with a wide and varied editorial offer of more than 900 titles and around 1.300 copies from publishers.
Project from 2024 and still active.
