We strengthened ecotourism processes for the indigenous communities in the Los Flamencos Wildlife and Flora Sanctuary through a strategy of conservation and economic development. We provided over 300 hours of training in tourism to 24 leaders of the Kalekalema community.
Outstanding results: There was a 47% increase in tourist attendance, with an average of 5 tourists daily. We reaffirmed our commitment to biodiversity care by signing a conservation agreement with the National Parks, ensuring compliance. This initiative has not only generated a positive economic impact for the community but also promoted a significant environmental impact by fostering sustainable and conservation practices.
Project active from 2022 to 2023.
