SDG 1 END POVERTY
Sustainable Development Goal – SDG 1 seeks to eradicate poverty in all its forms worldwide. It focuses on ensuring that people, especially the most vulnerable, have access to essential resources and opportunities to improve their quality of life. It also seeks to generate inclusive and sustainable policies that promote economic growth and social protection.
In Colombia, the fight against poverty continues to be a major challenge. According to the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) in 2023, 33% of the population was living in monetary poverty. The figure shows a slight decrease compared to previous years, reflecting improvements in some economic indicators, but is also evidence that many Colombians still face difficulties in accessing basic services such as education, health and decent housing, and the consequences of labor informality. Rural inhabitants and victims of the armed conflict are the most affected.

At One Inversión Social we are committed to reducing poverty through social impact projects that generate economic opportunities and improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities. Our mission is aligned with SDG #1 by promoting initiatives that foster entrepreneurship, job training and access to basic minimum income.
One of the projects we drive to contribute to poverty eradication is Unconditional Cash Push in which we provide direct cash transfers to people in extreme poverty with no strings attached. The objective is to provide a financial base that allows them to meet their basic needs immediately, while giving them the opportunity to plan and improve their economic situation in the long term.
This program has proven to be an effective tool to empower people and provide them with the necessary capital to start a new phase.
